About the Paradigm Trio
Jed Moss, piano (left)
Jed Moss appeared on the Columbia Artist Community concert series, Utah Arts Council performing arts tour, Madeleine Festival, Temple Square Concert series, Nova Concert series, Utah Chamber Music Society, Contemporary Music consortium series, and Mendelssohn Society of Chicago. A native of Idaho, Moss began his studies with Georgia Blackstock, At Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, he studied under Margaret Ott. And at the University of Utah, he was a protege of Gladys Gladstone. Moss was a featured participant in the master classes of Andre Watts, Jorge Bolet, Jerome Lowenthal, Johanna Harris, Daniel Pollack, Andre Michael Shub and Igor Kipnis. He toured Vienna and Munich as soloist with Utah’s Repertory Dance Theatre, and appeared in recitals in Wahington, D.C. and across the United States.
Kelly Parkinson, violin (center)
Kelly Clark Parkinson began her violin studies at the age of seven. Her teachers were Richard Nibley, Percy Kalt, Barbara Williams, Daniel Heifetz, Henri Temianka, Yukiko Kamei, and Henryk Szeryng. She attended Peabody Conservatory and holds degrees in violin performance from BYU and UCLA. She was the featured violinist on the soundtrack for “Survivors of the Shoah,” Steven Spielberg’s acclaimed historical documentary on the holocaust, and has been a member of the New Orleans Philharmonic, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra and Opus Chamber Orchestra in Salt Lake City. More recently, Kelly collaborated with pianist Grant Johannesen on an archival recording of a sonata by the talented Utah composer Helen Taylor.
Joel Rosenberg, viola (right)
Joel Rosenberg, Director of Paradigm Concerts, is a graduate of Julliard and a recipient of a Fulbright Grant to Rome. While in Italy he received a Certificate of Merit from the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena. He has performed as principal violist under Pierre Boulez and has been a guest violist with the Da Vinci Quartet and the BYU String Quartet. Rosenberg has conducted the New Zealand Opera, San Francisco Ballet, Utah Opera, Australian Ballet at the Sydney Opera House, New Mexico Symphony, Grand Teton Music Festival, Ballet West and has played viola with the Utah, Phoenix and Portland Symphonies, and the BYU Chamber Orchestra. He has toured Japan with soloists from Covent Garden as a guest of Sony. (More about Joel Rosenberg here.)
